Rehabilitation and repurposing of heritage sites in Old Arqa. The study aimed to develop a plan to develop and rehabilitate the old Erga area and repurpose the buildings and spaces after the rehabilitation of Erga. And to identify the urban components of the ancient Erga area. The researcher used the descriptive classification approach to accurately describe Irqa, while recording and documenting the information, photographing the area in detail and surveying all of its buildings. He used the comparative approach to compare Erga with similar historical governorates and towns in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and abroad. The researcher came up with a plan To rehabilitate and employ buildings used for traditional crafts, heritage restaurants, recreational cafes, and shops selling traditional and popular products, the study reached the following results: 1. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is interested in preserving urban heritage because of its great importance in developing communities touristically, economically, socially and culturally. 2. The development of the Erga heritage area is in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which promotes the concept of preserving urban heritage and transmitting it to future generations, and encouraging investment in it through rehabilitation and renovation projects, and repurposing heritage buildings in line with the cultural renaissance in the Kingdom.
